It is with profound sadness that I write to tell you, our manager, friend and colleague, Liz Dorman has passed away.  Liz has been a central figure and part of our Windy City Aviation family for more than 14 years.  She met her husband Jake while working here and they have 4 beautiful children together.  Our deepest sympathies go out to her entire family for this terrible loss.

Liz’s funeral is scheduled for Thursday, May 26.  Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service after that.  Details can be found on this link: https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/dailyherald/name/elizabeth-dorman-obituary?id=34907966

Almost everyone I’ve spoken to eventually asks the same thing, “what can I do to help”?  A simple question, with no simple answer.  No one can bring her back, but we can keep her memory alive by sharing stories; and her spirit can live on in anyone who embraces life as she did.  Liz was a force of nature that saw only the good in people.  I’ve never known anyone like her before.  I doubt I ever will.

She will be missed.

A family friend has set up an educational fund for the children.  Donations can be made at https://gofund.me/2c268931.  If you prefer, you can make a donation in Liz’s honor to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund at www.fanconi.org
